Obituary for André G "Padoux" Lehoux

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Padoux, loving husband, father and grandfather, at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday September 28,2022 surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Cécile Lehoux (nee Lauriault), his son Dan (Lita) Lehoux, his loving grandchildren Brent (Jessie), Jessie (Brody), Dylan and Dax (Taylor). He also leaves behind his precious great grandchildren Jennix, Jemmie, Max and Whalen. Their Pépère will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Also left to mourn are several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marcel Laureault, Thérèse and Gaetan Lessard, Denise and Roger Labelle, Lise and Miville Gallant, Michel Lauriault, Marc and Nicole Lauriault. He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Alcide and Alberta Lehoux, his brother Fern Lehoux, his sister Jacqueline Gervais, as well as by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gisèle and Gaetan Laflamme.

He was special ‘mon oncle‘ to his nephews Denis, Jacques and Norm Lehoux.
A lifetime resident of Timmins, Padoux worked at the Hollinger mine and Kidd Creek mine. His friends and co-conspirators, Paul Hamelin and Tom Vine, can attest to Padoux’s dedication to mining and his cheerful disposition. Padoux was a sport minded person. He enjoyed playing broomball, baseball, darts, golf and was a proud supporter of Molson Canadian beer.

At this time, we would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences North Sudbury and the Timmins and District Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Kanya-Forstner and nurses on the Palliative care unit for their care, compassion and guidance during this difficult time. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
