Obituary for Andrew Arthur Perreault

Andy passed away peacefully at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with his sister Ann by his side.

Andy is survived by his mother Eileen, his sisters Ann, Rita (Lou), Lucille (Jim), his brother David (Phyllis) and his sister-in-law Irene. He is predeceased by his father Marcel, his eldest brother Ron, brother-in-law George and his sisters-in-law Judy and Anita. He will be fondly remembered by his ten nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Timmins, Andy developed a love for the outdoors, camping and fishing. As a young adult, after graduating from O’Gorman High school, he honed his skills as a finishing carpenter and held several jobs in Milton, Mississauga, and Muskoka. He lived with MS for the last 30 years, which in recent years has become a real struggle for him.

The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers of Access Better Living on Lonergan for the kindness and care that Andy received during his years of residency with them.

Cremation will take place. A private family service will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Those who wish to remember Andy can simply sit by a lake or walk somewhere with trees and remember him there. Outside in nature was truly his happy place. Remembrance donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
