Obituary for Betty Lillian Campbell (Shelswell)
It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing at Extendicare Timmins on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of the late Ivan Campbell (1997). Cherished mother of Dianna Recoskie (late Dennis) of Timmins, Linda Desjardins (late Armond) of Sault Ste Marie, Sharran Whalley (Terry) of Timmins, Wendy Dubois (late Maurice) of Elliot Lake, Patsy Mikasko (late Ric) of Kapuskasing, late Wayne (late Julie) of Timmins, Gwen Mondor (Marc) of South Porcupine, and Erwin Campbell (Patsy) of Monteith.
Betty will be forever remembered by her 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lorna Montague.
Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Ruby Shelswell, her brother Ted McKinnon, as well as her sisters Doris Montague and Shirley Tremblay.
Mom loved her family and spending time with them in the great outdoors. She also loved to play cards and was quite good. She was always happy and kind, and she loved music. She could sing all the country oldies. Nothing made her happier than sitting around with family and a few guitars pickers. She will surely be missed but her memory will be cherished, and she will be forever in our hearts.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held on Monday January 31, 2022 at 11 a.m. which will be livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook page. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
