Obituary for Bonnie Courville

Passed away in her 80th year on July 25, 2022. Predeceased by her parents, grandparents and her best friend and number one supporter aunt Sylvia Webb (2008). Bonnie was also predeceased by many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins whom she cherished. Lovingly remembered and supported by her very close cousins, Randy Webb (Elaine) and Claudia Lapierre (Armand). She leaves a void in the hearts of her 2 Godchildren Cristy Webb (Paul) and David Webb (Krista) as well as his daughter Sydney. Forever remembered by her cousins Robert Lapierre (Denise) and their children Orin and Marshall, aunts Marjorie Legary (Late James) and Joan MacPhail (John), as well as uncle Donald Whitford (Late Penny).

Bonnie was a very quiet and thoughtful person, who never missed a family member’s birthday or an opportunity to send a Christmas greeting. She lived for her lengthy phone conversations with her cousins and aunts who live out of town and was the first to share any news with the rest of the family. She loved outings like dance recitals, plays or just a great dinner where she could dress up and enjoy her time surrounded by others. Prior to her retirement, Bonnie served as a telephone operator for Ontario Northland for over 30 years. With that job, she was able to buy her first car, a 1973 Cougar, which is still driven today.

Bonnie was a lover of art, watching classic films, listening to music from Andre Rieu, collecting DVD’s of all sorts and having discussions about all things British. Bonnie loved her pets as though they were her children. Over the years, she housed many cats and dogs who lived a better life than most people. She will be sadly missed by her loving cat Jasmine.

Bonnie was an absolute gem of a person who thoroughly enjoyed life and everyone who surrounded her.

The family would like to thank all of Bonnie’s neighbours who have helped and looked out for her over the last few years. Your kindness has not gone unnoticed.

Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maison funéraire LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by her family.
