Obituary for Cecile (Sis) Turner (Ruest)
The family announces with sorrow her death on Wednesday June 29, 2022 at Extendicare Timmins at the age of 84.
Predeceased by her husband Larry. Beloved mother of Bruce (Lola) Turner and Lee-Ann (Moe) St. Jacques. Dear grandmother of Trisha and Amy Turner, Joshua and Kaitlyn St. Jacques.
Survived by her sister Annette Ruest, her sister-in-law Geraldine Ruest and her special aunt, Margaret Spencer. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as her sister-in-law Beverly Pongo and her brother-in-law Raymond (Sandra) Turner.
Predeceased by her parents George and Alice Ruest, her brothers J.B. (Yvette) Ruest and Romeo Ruest, her brother-in-law John Pongo, and her parents-in-law Gladys and Raymond Turner.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mattagami Lake unit at Extendicare for their excellent care.
A memorial service will be held on Monday July 11, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, which will be livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook page. To access the livestream, CLICK HERE 5 mins prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Monday July 11 from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. A reception in the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre will follow. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to St. Anthony’s Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
