The family announces with great sorrow her death on Thursday May 19, 2022, at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 81. She is survived by her sister Sandra Moore (Dave), her brother Jim Baker and by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Daisy Baker (1996) and Dusty Baker (1998), her brothers Robert Baker (1948) and David Baker (2022), her sister Shirley VanHoek (2009) and by her partner Tom Laffin. Diane was involved with numerous local organizations, The Daughters of Scotland, The Eastern Star, the Porcupine United Church, the Spruce Hill Lodge, and the Masonic Breakfast Club at the Whitney Arena. She was passionate of all sports and very proud of her Schumacher roots. Cremation has taken place. Remembrance donations to the Porcupine United Church would be greatly appreciated.
