The family announces with sorrow his passing on Monday July 4, 2022 at Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 73. Devoted husband of Beverlee. Loving father of Melanie (Wayne) and Tracy (Daryl). Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Ben), Hannah (Tom), Owen, and Zoe. Dear great-grandfather of Slater. Also left to mourn is his friend and father of 3 of his grandchildren, Corey. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Shelley (Larry), as well as his nieces and nephews, Daryl, Darren, Crystal, Lorrann, Kelly, Lindsay, Brittany, and Taylor. He will be dearly missed by many friends he made over the years through golfing, curling, camping, hunting, fishing, and his 31 years at Kidd Creek Mine. Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Kathleen, his sister Karen, and his brothers-in-law Tom, Rick, and Robert. Jerry will be remembered for his devotion to his family, as well as his kindness, generosity, selflessness, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held on Thursday July 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. As requested by the family, the wearing of a mask will be in place for the visitation and funeral service.
