Jeanne D’Arc (Joan) Marie Bozzer (nee Desgroseilliers)

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Joan on Friday February 24th, 2023. Joan’s beautiful spirit and memory will live on through her children; step-son Wayne (Kelly) and daughters Sue Farrell (Doug), Katherine (Brian) and Pam Chapman (Kevin); grandchildren Ashley (Andy), Leno, Peri, Katie, Riley, Elliott, and Jacob; and great-granddaughter Aidelyn Katherine. She is also survived by her brother Raymond (Jerrie). She will never be forgotten by many friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family.

Joan was born on January 19th, 1938, in Duparquet, Quebec to Juliette (Beauvais) and Eugene Desgroseilliers. She is predeceased by both parents, beloved husband Lino (1985) and her brothers and sisters Xavier Noel, Mariette, Madeleine, Simone, Marianne, Jaqueline, Gaston and Normande.

Joan lived a beautiful and happy life. She fell in love with Lino, marrying him on June 24th, 1967, and together they raised four beautiful children. She was a wonderful woman of many talents. She loved to do puzzles, cook, bake, garden, travel and spend quality time with family. She will always be remembered as a brave, independent, and loving woman. Some of the fondest memories her family will cherish is traveling with Joan and holidays spent together.

A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. at Ramada Timmins – 1800 Riverside Drive. Remembrance donations can be made to the Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, care of the Cleft Lip and Palate Program.
