Long time Schumacher resident and business owner John Gibson died peacefully at the Timmins and District Hospital on September 17th, 2022, at the age of 92 years with his daughter Linda and son-in-law Vern by his side. John was predeceased by his parents Mary and Pete, sons Donald and Darryl and loving partner Florence. He is survived by his daughters Judy, Cheryl, son Jeffrey, grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of St Mary’s Gardens for making John’s last year safe and comfortable. A special thank you to the Timmins District staff on Med A, Hospice Unit and particularly Doctors Quirion, Griffiths and Houston for their kindness in keeping us informed and taking such good care of dad in his final days. There will be no funeral or visitation. A private family interment will take place at the Tisdale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home.
