In his younger days our dad worked as a miner in pretty well all the mines and made a lot of friends there. He enjoyed going to the Moneta after work for a beer with his buddies. Later he became a millwright and worked at KIDD. He would often go to his parent’s house and play cards with his parents and aunts and gamble with pennies. Education was very important to our father as he felt that he had a poor education (grade 7). He wanted his children to achieve higher than he did workwise. He was a really good story teller (scary stories) to us kids and was a good provider. He was also very handy in most anything but knew his limitations. He was a very proud person and will be missed by us all, especially his witty jokes but maybe not so much his teasing.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 11, 2022 at 1pm at the Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will follow at the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre. Remembrance donations to Make A Wish Canada (Children’s Wish Foundation) would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences and donations can be made at
