The family announces with great sorrow her death on Thursday, March 30th, 2023, at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 96 years. She was a loving mother to her late son Roger (Ann), Paul (Linda), Gilles (Lily), Jocelyne (Gregg) and Judy (Randy). Dearest grandmother to Shane (Caryn), Amber (Rob), Jessica (Sebastian), Tyler (Brittany), Jordan (Monica), Jennifer, Anne (Dave), Sylvie, Tracy (Jon), Cody (Serena), Payge (Alex) and Joel (Erika). She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren as well as 3 great-great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sister Claudette as well as countless nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Herve, parents Josephat and Gloriana Barbarie and by her many brothers and sisters. Many thanks to the doctors and staff of Medical C at the Timmins & District Hospital as well as special thanks to Terri and staff at the Lasalle Residence for their compassion and for having taken such good care of her for the past four years.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 24, 2023 at 1:30pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday June 24, 2023 from 12pm (noon) to 1:30pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
