Obituary for Lillian Marie Leclerc

Lillian Marie Antonine Jeanne (née Berthel) Leclerc, May 10 1930 - December 31 2022.

Lillian passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 92. She is now in the arms of her beloved husband André (1983) and her daughter Odile Robichaud (2021). She is also with her parents Eugene and Florence, her stepmother Simone and her siblings Mona (Roy) Monaghan, Blanche (Goldie) Loney, Clair Berthel, Claude (Lorraine) Berthel.

She is survived by her children, Capt. Ret. Jean-Marc (Shelley), Monique (Raymond) Levesque, Suzanne (Jean-Guy) Cayen, Pierre (Allyson Caughell), Paul (Glen Trudeau) and Odile’s husband Denis Robichaud. Lillian cherished her grandchildren Paul-André and Matthieu Leclerc, Nathalie (Barry) Kennedy, Eric Levesque, André (Alexandra) Robichaud, Robin Robichaud, Anne-Renée (Joe) Cayen-Rispoli, Jean-Paul (Andrea) Cayen, Shandelle (Brayden) Ritchie , Jessica, Kallie, Alexandre Leclerc and her very special great grandchildren Matthew and Claire Kennedy, Beau and Wyatt Robichaud, Giselle and Maeve Rispoli, Ellie and Colton Cayen.

Lillian was a lifelong resident of Timmins and began her education in the French Catholic School Board and graduated from TH&VS. She obtained a certificate in Bookkeeping from the Business College and worked in this role, as well as raising a family of six children. After her husband passed, Lillian re-entered the workforce in her fifties, first with the Girones and Wallbridge Law Firm and then continued with the Wallbridges’ Law firm until she was 70 years old.

Lillian believed in working hard, keeping her mind occupied and spending time with family. She was very independent and often went on road trips to visit her family. She was a no-nonsense person who always told it like it was! She was an avid reader with a preference for biographies and the Turner Classic movie channel. Lillian had a sharp mind and a terrific memory for past events. She will be missed greatly.

Thank you to Extendicare in Timmins for taking great care of Lillian for her last 4 years.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 11am in the LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery with a reception to follow in the Lessard-Stephens Reception Hall. Flowers are politely declined.
