Linda leaves behind many wonderful friends who will miss her laughter and her kind soul. Fortunate is those who had the pleasure of being in her presence.

Linda and Michael met in 1976 and married in 1979. They had a beautiful life together, caring for one another, their families, friends and cats. They enjoyed some travels together as well. Linda graduated from the College of Windsor then started her teaching career in Moose Factory. She then taught at Flora MacDonald School, ending her teaching career at Northern College teaching Marketing. Linda began teaching a new program of Women in trades. She was also involved with the Girl Guides for many years.

A special thank you goes to dear cousin Joan Defort, John Brereton, Dianne Potvin and Kayla for all the kind words and help, they were always there to help and listen. We would also like to thank the Golden Manor on East 1 and all the doctors and staff for taking care of Linda’s needs with excellent care and compassion. Finally, a big thank you to Dr. Vaithilingam for all his help and care over the years.

Respecting her wishes, cremation will take place. Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held in the spring at which time it will be posted.
In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Timmins Food Bank or the Women’s shelter would be greatly appreciated.
