Obituary for Madeleine Guimond (Dubien)
The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Madeleine Guimond (Dubien) on Monday, April 18th, 2022 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Marquis Guimond, whom have shared 65 loving years together. Devoted mother to Lysanne (Marcus) Bouchard of Timmins and Marquise Guimond (Rob) of Regina. Predeceased by her daughter Johanne Guimond in 2014. Dear grandmother of 4 amazing kids, Darquise Guimond, Matthieu Beaulne, Nicholas Beaulne and Samuel Beaulne. Also left to mourn are her sisters-in-law Elliette Lehto, Suzanne Guimond, Hélène Haanpaa and Anita Dubien. She is predeceased by her parents Elias and Justina (Boivin) Dubien, her brothers Marcel Dubien, Geatan Dubien (Fernande) and Claude Dubien, and her brothers-in-law Jorma Lehto and Pentti Haanpaa. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Madeleine retired from Industrial Alliance after 27 years. Her real passion was the time she spent volunteering at La Ronde. She enjoyed helping and participating in all activities. She served as President for many terms and played different roles in the executive positions. As her retirement went on, she enjoyed spending her winters away from the great white North and found joy on the beaches in Florida. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We would like to thank Dr. Samson and her team for the exceptional care they gave Mado in the recent years.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Notre-dame-de-la-paix church. Cremation will follow.
