Obituary for Maurice Mondor
MONDOR, Maurice
1947-2022
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Maurice Mondor at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday, November 14, 2022.
He is survived by his loving children Joanne Mondor and Billy Mondor, his mother Irene Mondor (Groulx) as well as his precious grandchildren Michael Chouinard, Coralie Chouinard and Tristan Mondor. He also leaves behind his siblings Sylvia (Henri), Gerald, Rita (Tim), Anita (late Yvon 2021), Robert (Gale), Denise (Rene), Marc (Gwen), Remi (Claudette), Mariette (Charles), Juliette (Neil) and Nicole (Paul) and by his brother-in-law Gerard Proulx. He also leaves behind the mother of his children Pauline Beauseigle as well as his fur baby Darko. Maurice will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Marc Mondor (1993), his sister Lina (2021) and by his brother Richard (1958).
Maurice was known to be a selfless and very generous man who got along with everyone. He had a big heart and was very dedicated to his kids, grandkids, family, and friends.
After his retirement as a miner for many years with the Pamour Mine, he proceeded to become a cab driver which he enjoyed very much as he was such a pleasant people person.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Reception to follow in the reception centre. Respecting his wishes, no funeral service will take place.
Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Timmins Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
