Obituary for Michel Francq

The family announces with great sorrow his death on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 76.

He is survived by his loving wife Colleen Francq (nee Kelly); his children Alain Francq (Katy), Andrea Sealy (Kevin), Stéphan Lemire (Kelly), Nicole Gagain (Gary); his grandchildren Ethan and Avery Francq, Katie and Ewan Sealy, Kyle and Joshua Lemire and Hunter and Hannah Gagain.

He leaves behind his sister Louise Keeler, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Brother-in-law of late Michael and Bernadette Kelly, Doris Morrissette (late Leo), Doreen Blais (late Marcel), Norman Kelly (Agathe), late Shirley and Paul Picard, Lily Labelle (late Paul), Marlene Godin (late George), Joyce Kelly, late Gene and Nicole Kelly, Gail Venneri (Sergio) and Pat Donovan (late Dave).

Predeceased by his parents Marcel and Gabrielle Francq, his brother Robert Francq, and his sisters Pauline Désormeaux (late Guy) and Hélène Beaupré.

Born in Montreal, QC, Michel’s work brought him to many places throughout Ontario before taking a position with Canada Manpower in Timmins in 1978. He subsequently spent 14 enjoyable years in Business Administration with Northern College before starting his own successful training company, M.H. Francq & Associates that would see him to his retirement. In his many years, he enjoyed his time on the golf course, travelling and seeing the world with Colleen by his side, and lovingly supporting his children and grandchildren in their every endeavour and pursuit.

Funeral service will be held on Monday April 25, 2022 at 12 (noon) in the funeral home chapel, which will be livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook page. To access the livestream, CLICK HERE 10 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon) at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to Timmins Food Bank or Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
