Obituary for Murray Peter Deadman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Murray Deadman, in his 87th year, at the Timmins and District Hospital, leaving to mourn many family members and friends. Beloved husband of 66 years to Georgina (McKay) Deadman; loving father to Peter (Jeanne) and Lynn; cherished grandfather to Hailey (Hayden), Melina (Spencer) and Nicholas (Makenna). Dear brother to Richard (Olive), Michael (late Gail), and Cindy. Murray was predeceased by his parents Ted and Edith, and his brother Allan. Murray will be missed by his many nephews and nieces. Murray enjoyed spending weekends at his cottage at Gibson Lake over the last 64 years. He always enjoyed his annual fishing trips and the fish fries that would follow. Murray spent many years volunteering with minor hockey in Timmins, and he retired after 30 years with the Timmins Board of Education.

The family would like to thank the staff at TADH for the exceptional care provided to Murray over the last few weeks. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Online condolences or donations can be made at www.lessardstephens.com
