The family announces with great sorrow his death at home on Thursday March 24, 2022 at the age of 68 years. He is survived by his siblings Marie-Paule (Gérald) Bisson, Monique (Raymond) Landry, Gilbert (Claudette) Lemieux, Micheline Gagné, Jacquelin (Jean) Lemieux, Léo (Ghislaine) Lemieux, Rénald (Nicole) Lemieux, Michel (Lani) Lemieux, Marjolaine Catangui (Daniel Brazeau) and Joanne Lemieux, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, especially Pascal Lemieux. René was predeceased by his parents Jean-Paul Lemieux (1996) and Marie-Berthe Lemieux (nee Hurtubise) (2001) and by his brother Claude Lemieux (1963). Cremation will take place. A Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends on Monday May 16, 2022 from 7–9 p.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to Timmins Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. L’incinération aura lieu. Une Célébration de sa vie aura lieu le mardi 17 mai, 2022 à 10h dans la chapelle de la Maison funéraire LESSARD-STEPHENS.
