Richard passed away peacefully at home 2 days before his 72nd birthday on Tuesday May 2, 2023. Richard is survived by his wife Diane Lauzon, his loving children Kim Valcourt-Syvret, Jennifer Lauzon, Son-in-law Lindsay Syvret. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren Jarratt Lauzon, Dakotah (Sarah), Brooke and Jesse Syvret. He also leaves behind his in-laws Paulette (Harold) Phillips, Norman (Lori) Lauzon, Wayne (Lynne) Lauzon and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Kelly Valcourt, parents Theo and Therese Valcourt and his parents-in-law Leo and Hattie Lauzon. Richard (The Kid) will be sadly missed by his best friends, John Valliere, Phil & Bonnie Garneau and Nicole Dion. Richard was a true-blue northerner; he loved the changing seasons and the friendly people. Richard will be remembered as a great outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, boating and snowmobiling. Richard was a fighter and loved life till the end. Special thanks to his nurse Nick Klimo, Dr. Julie Samson and Raili Barabas from the LHINS. May Richard’s memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
