Obituary for Robert Jr. Hooysma
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Robert Jr. at Health Sciences North on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the age of 46. Loving son of Robert Sr. Hooijsma and the late Marlene Couliner (nee Naveau). Cherished brother of Jason Hooysma, Amanda Thompson (Daryl St-Pierre) and Anthony Regimbald (Natalie Vaudrin). Dear uncle of Brady (deceased), Kolton, Gavin (deceased), Kage, Lara, Karess, Danica, Kendra and Jaline. He will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Robert was known for having the soul of a gypsy. He was always, kind, caring and selfless. Even though he did not have much, he was always willing to give and share whatever he could for someone that was in need. He had a great sense of humor which we will always cherish. May your journey to the spirit world be peaceful.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Mattagami First Nation Community Center. Interment will take place at the Mattagami First Nation Cemetery with a luncheon to follow. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, starting at 1 p.m. at the Mattagami First Nation Community Center. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to The Samaritan Center in Sudbury would be greatly appreciated.
