Obituary for Ronald Brochu
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Ronald Bruce Brochu on Saturday February 25, 2023 at the Timmins and District Hospital – St Mary’s site, at the age of 86, following a short battle with cancer.
James (Ron) was a kind soul who enjoyed talking with people.
He is survived by his sister Colleen Belanger of California, his daughter Pauline, three grandsons Christopher, Steven and Michael.
Ron owned and operated Polar Bear Vending in Timmins and area, as well as two chip stands in the downtown for many years until his retirement.
A sincere thank you for the awesome care to the staff at St. Mary’s, Dr. Gillies, and his friend James who helped him through his tough transition.
Respecting Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Friday March 3, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Cathedral.
Remembrance donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
