Obituary for Vasilena Leakey
Surrounded by her loving family, Elana passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on January 20, 2022 at the Golden Manor. She was the loving mother to her daughter, Shauna (Raymond), her granddaughter Jenna (Luis) and her great granddaughter Mina. They were the joy of her life. She was predeceased by her parents and numerous siblings.
She was happiest spending time surrounded by her family, friends and her cats. Her love for animals was well known by all her friends. Her presence will be missed deeply by all that knew her. The family wishes to thank the staff on the Special Care Unit at the Golden Manor for their wonderful care and support.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. There will be no visitation and an intimate celebration of her life will be held by the family. Remembrance donations to the Timmins & District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
