The family announces with great sorrow her passing at home on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the age of 84 with her daughters by her side. Beloved wife of the late Kazimir Mihelcic. Loving mother of Carmen Ferris (Kyle) and Carolina Roy (Michael), both of Timmins. Proud and loving grandmother of Ryan and Kendall Ferris and Emerson Roy. Predeceased by her parents Stjepan and Barbara Kanizaj, her sister Berta Horvat (late Ivica), her brother Antika Raumberger (Jovanka) and her Aunt Marija Kanizaj (late Ivan). Survived by her cousins Mirjana Rest and Zeljko Kanizaj of Croatia. She is also predeceased by her parents-in-law Juraj and Sofija Mihelcic and by her sister-in-law Nevenka Madzia (late John). She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Kratofil (late Vlado), her nieces and nephews Debi Hudson (Allan), Arsen Kratofil (Angela), Joanne Lizotte (Richard) and James Madzia (Antonietta), her great-nephews and great-nieces Jason Chase (Lissa), Jessica Robitaille (Christopher), Nico and Dario Kratofil, Sofia, Marina and Neva Madzia and her great-great-nephew Devin Chase. Also survived by family in Croatia. Her greatest joy in life was her family who she loved very much. There was nothing that could brighten her day more than seeing her three beautiful granddaughters. She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed. If love could have kept her here, she would have lived forever.

A private funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 followed by interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME.
