Obituary for Winifred Ann Scott (Sillifant)
The family announces with great sorrow her death on Friday July 22, 2022 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 87.
Predeceased by her husband Jerry Scott (2007). Dear mother of Susan (Peter) Heyland and Grant (Melody) Scott. Beloved “Granny” of Eric and Jessica (Chris) Heyland, Kaitlyn (Matt) and Connor (Tiffany) Scott; great-grandmother of Emma, Harli, Knyli, Jovi, Addison, Caydon and Caylum.
Dear sister of Kathy (Rod) Richards and Norman (Betty) Sillifant, and sister-in-law to Edith Sillifant. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and her extended family.
Predeceased by her parents Norman (1978) and Eva (1955) (nee Harris) Sillifant; her brothers Frederick (late Rose), and Ted (late Charlotte); her son Steven, her grandson Brent, and her daughter-in-law Liliane.
Winifred lived in Timmins her entire life. She worked in administration at Pamour Mines and Kidd Creek Mine for 29 years. She was a Highway Service Contractor with Canada Post since 1978. Winifred enjoyed sewing, crafts, puzzles, and was an avid reader. Her family was very dear to her and always came first. She was a longtime member of Grace Bible Chapel.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Timmins and District Hospital for their excellent care.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
