Obituary for Barbara Pendzay

Barbara Pendzay
Passed away on Friday October 6, 2017 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Pendzay on February 1st, 2005 and by her parents Stephen and Maria Deneka. She leaves behind her longtime friends Mary Gardner and Lise Marin. She was born in the Ukraine and came to Canada with her parents at a young age. She was an excellent artist, and love to walk everywhere she went . She was very proud of her Ukrainian roots and always wore a Babuska on her head. She was an avid reader. She and her mother operated the Cartier Lunch where citizen of Timmins always truly enjoyed their food. She looked after her husband until his death, travelling all over, in order to provide him the best care available to him. May she rest in peace with her beloved Pietro. A committal graveside service will be held at 1pm on Thursday November 16, 2017 at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery with Msgr Pat Lafleur officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME.
