Passed away peacefully on Friday January 25, 2019 at the Golden Manor at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Walter Cecchini (2014). Survived by her children Chris Cecchini (Pat), Richard Cecchini, Terry Cecchini (Sue), Larry Cecchini (Donna) and Laurie (Tony) Pelaccia; her grandchildren Jennifer (Robert) Morris, Andra (Sean) Cecchini-Harris, Julia Cecchini, Nickolas Cecchini (Sly), Anthony Pelaccia (Brooke), Joshua Cecchini (Brooke), Carla Pelaccia (Dylan), Christopher Pelaccia and Alex Cecchini; her great-grandchildren Isabelle, Asher, Morgan, Braydon and Owen. Also survived by her brother Eddie Pizzolato (Mary), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Pasquale and Anila Pizzolato. and her sister Thelma Baschiera. Edda was a long-time member and past president of the Sacred Heart Catholic Women’s League. She was an avid knitter and loved to crochet, and had great pleasure in giving her works of art away to others. She cherished her family, and had a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Auger, Debbie Cooper and the staff at the Golden Manor, who became a second family to her. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home 705-268-4488.
